SOP for Preventive Maintenance of V-Blender

OBJECTIVE

To provide a procedure for preventive maintenance of the V-blender so as to obtain optimum performance of the machine and achieve the designed output as per the manufacturer’s design.

SCOPE

It applies to general checks and cleaning of V-blender.

RESPONSIBILITY

Maintenance Personnel: Inspect equipment components and take any corrective measures.

Operators: For keeping the machine clean after use.

Maintenance Manager: To ensure that the procedure is followed.

PROCEDURE

1. Clean the bearings (pillar bearings) with an oil-dipped cloth.
2. Lubricate pillar bearings after cleaning with multipurpose grease once a month.
3. Refill gearbox oil with lubricant (SAE 90) every six months.
4. Lubricate chain coupling with multipurpose grease every six months or when necessary.
5. Clean electric contacts of the main supply, switches, and controllers using a suitable spray solution, for example, penetrating oil, once every year.
6. Check silicon rubber seals, for wear, and replace them if necessary.
