SOP for Preparation & Storage of Test Solution

OBJECTIVE

To lay down a procedure for the preparation of the Test Solutions.

SCOPE

This SOP shall be applicable for the preparation and storage of all test Solutions, which are to be used during the analysis in the quality control department at XYZ Limited

RESPONSIBILITY

Execution : Chemist and above - QC department.

Checking : Chemist and above - QC department.

PROCEDURE

• Ensure that the chemical used for the preparation of test solutions is within the expiry.
• Use A.R / G.R / L.R grade chemicals for the preparation test solution
• Prepare, test solutions in sufficient quantities as per the respective Pharmacopoeia.
• Fill the prepared solution in a clean amber color/Transparent/Plastic dried reagent bottle.
• Assign the ref.no to each test solution as

• Label the bottle appropriately.

• Assign 3-month expiry for all the solutions except if specified in the individual solution preparation procedure
• Before using any solution, check for the expiry date and clarity of a solution
• Record the preparation data of the Test solution in annexure-1.
