SOP for cleaning of pH Meter

OBJECTIVE 

To lay down the procedure for cleaning of pH Meter 

SCOPE 

This SOP shall be applicable for pH Meter installed in Quality Control Laboratory at XYZ Limited 

RESPONSIBILITY 

Execution : Chemist and above-QC department 

PEOPLE ALSO READ: SOP for Operation of Muffle Furnace

PROCEDURE 

• Frequency: After each use 
• Take out the electrode dipped in the test solution. 
• Clean the electrode with purified water in a beaker and soak it with tissue paper. 
• After cleaning, again dip the electrode in 4M KCl solution for further use 
• After completion of cleaning of the pH, record the cleaning details in instrument logbook.
